Summary:
The Block Nurse is a licensed RN with knowledge of anesthetic agents and techniques that is trained in providing care to patients undergoing regional anesthesia procedures. This RN will partner with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons and the perioperative team to provide excel- lence in pain management through strong procedural performance, critical thinking, advocation, and compassion. The RN must develop trusted rapport with the interdisciplinary team, easily adjust to rapidly changing schedules and be an effective time manager and communicator.
Other information:
Current unrestricted Arkansas RN License Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred) BLS certification by the American Heart Association prior to date of hire. ACLS certification by the American Heart Association prior to date of hire Minimum of 3 years nursing experience and at least 1 year of recent Perioperative, Block Nurse, PACU, or ICU experience (preferred) This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
