Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Postpartum Nurse, you will compassionately guide new families through the dynamic postpartum journey, providing vital care and support. Every day you will monitor maternal and neonatal health, educate families on postpartum care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes. You will advocate for patients while fostering a supportive and collaborative unit culture. To be successful in this role, you'll need confidence, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient advocacy, embracing continuous growth within our team-oriented environment and utilizing flexible scheduling for work-life balance. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for new mothers and their newborns. Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs, identify potential complications, and intervene promptly to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes. Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care, promoting health, wellness, and empowerment. Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, value-driven care. Support the emotional well-being of mothers and families, embodying compassion, dignity, and patient advocacy in every encounter. Advocate for patients while fostering a culture of teamwork, trust, and ethical care that reflects Dignity Health's vision and guiding principles.
Job Requirements Required Registered Nurse:
AZ American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within six (6) months Preferred Bachelors Of Nursing Nursing One year obstetrics acute experience
