About the
Role :
The Director of Nursing will play a key role in guiding hospice operations, maintaining clinical excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering meaningful relationships with patients, families, and to the team of Family Care Home Health and Hospice. This position is ideal for someone who leads with both professionalism and empathy, thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment, and values high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee all hospice nursing and clinical services
  • Supervise and support nursing staff and clinical administrative personnel
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission regulations
  • Monitor quality of patient care and implement performance improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families regarding care planning and coordination
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and staff development
  • Review and maintain clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Participate in strategic planning, operational improvement, and community outreach efforts
  • Promote a positive, supportive, and accountable clinical culture
Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or licensed physician in the state
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in hospice, home health, or related healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of hospice regulations, healthcare operations, and Joint Commission standards
  • Ability to build relationships professionally within the community and healthcare networks
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
