Registered Nurse Copper Sky Hospice Mesa, AZ Job Details PRN 11 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications RN License BLS Certification Palliative care experience (work setting) Initial patient assessment Driver's License End-of-life care Full Job Description Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN Copper Sky Hospice Phoenix, AZ Copper Sky Hospice is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a PRN basis in the Phoenix area. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about providing skilled, patient-centered end-of-life care while supporting patients and families with compassion, dignity, and professionalism. As part of our interdisciplinary hospice team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients in the comfort of their homes while helping ensure comfort, symptom management, and emotional support throughout the hospice journey. Responsibilities Provide Skilled Patient Care Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and hospice plans of care. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as appropriate. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor changes in patient condition. Ensure patients receive compassionate, individualized care focused on comfort and quality of life. Care Coordination Serve as a case manager for assigned hospice patients. Collaborate closely with physicians, social workers, chaplains, aides, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Coordinate care plans and communicate patient updates to the care team and families. Patient & Family Support Educate patients and caregivers on symptom management, medications, disease progression, and end-of-life care. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during difficult transitions. Advocate for patient comfort, dignity, and patient-centered decision making. Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Maintain compliance with hospice regulations, agency policies, and Medicare guidelines. Qualifications Required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona. Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience. Previous hospice experience required. Current BLS certification. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Strong communication, organization, and clinical assessment skills. Preferred BSN preferred. Experience working with geriatric, chronically ill, or palliative care patients. Previous hospice case management or home health experience. Compensation & Benefits Per visit compensation up to $120 per visit depending on visit type and experience. Flexible PRN scheduling. Supportive interdisciplinary team environment.
