Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - MS Oncology Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding opportunity providing exceptional patient care in an oncology-focused nursing setting. This role is tailored for Registered Nurses skilled in Medical-Surgical Oncology environments and adept at administering chemotherapy, even if Chemo certification is not required. You'll be part of a dedicated healthcare team delivering compassionate care and supporting patients throughout their treatment journeys.
Schedule/Hours:
Five 8-hour shifts per week 40 hours guaranteed weekly
Qualifications:
Current, active AZ or compact RN license Demonstrated experience in chemo administration (Chemo certification not required) Background in Medical-Surgical Oncology nursing Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment Current BLS certification
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized nursing care for oncology patients, including the safe administration of chemotherapy according to protocols Complete thorough patient assessments, monitor for adverse effects, and document responses Collaborate closely with physicians and the broader care team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and post-care guidance Safeguard patient safety by adhering to all relevant protocols and standards Maintain detailed, accurate records in the patient medical record
