In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across diverse settings. Your expertise will support patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert nursing care delivered with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and treatments such as wound care or catheterization with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document medical records accurately and efficiently. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or those requiring memory or hospice care. Assist in diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection/processing, and medical imaging procedures when necessary. Manage airway interventions, ventilator support, and acute pain management for critically ill patients in various settings including ICU or emergency rooms. Educate patients and their families on health coaching, medication management, discharge planning, and post-acute care instructions while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN). Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, outpatient clinics, or home & community care settings. Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or emergency medicine backgrounds; experience with Level II trauma centers is a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and infection control protocols. Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities; knowledge of dementia/dementia care is highly valued. Ability to perform venipuncture, IV insertion/infusion techniques, sterile processing procedures, and basic life support certification.
