Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - MS Oncology Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career with a specialized role supporting oncology patients. This contract opportunity plays a crucial role in providing compassionate and skilled care for individuals receiving medical-surgical oncology treatment. You'll apply your expertise in chemotherapy administration—experience is essential, but certification is not mandatory—to deliver safe, high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Schedule:
Five 8-hour shifts per week 40 hours guaranteed 13-week contract Flexible start date: 7/27 or 8/3
Qualifications:
Active AZ or compact state RN license required Proven experience administering chemotherapy (certification not required) Previous experience in a medical-surgical oncology setting strongly preferred Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills Ability to provide empathetic, patient-focused care in a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments in accordance with protocols and safety standards Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans Monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions, taking appropriate actions as needed Support patients and their families through education, advocacy, and emotional care during treatment Maintain accurate, thorough patient records and documentation Adhere to all facility policies and state regulatory requirements
