Full-Time or Part-Time Join Our Growing Team AGHA Medical is seeking an experienced and compassionate Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) to join our new, state-of-the-art outpatient Surgery Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, physician-led outpatient environment specializing in minimally invasive image-guided procedures. As an Interventional Radiology Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care before, during, and after procedures while working closely with Interventional Radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases. Perform patient assessments, review medical history, allergies, medications, laboratory results, and informed consent documentation. Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures by educating them about the procedure and addressing questions and concerns. Establish and maintain IV access and administer medications, including moderate sedation, analgesics, and emergency medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Continuously monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, and overall condition during procedures. Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition or medical emergencies. Assist the Interventional Radiologist during minimally invasive procedures while maintaining a sterile environment. Recover patients following procedures, monitor for complications, manage pain, and provide discharge instructions. Educate patients and family members regarding post-procedure care, medications, activity restrictions, and follow-up appointments. Accurately document patient assessments, medications, procedures, and recovery in the electronic medical record. Maintain compliance with infection control standards, patient safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and accreditation requirements. Assist with maintaining procedural supplies, medications, crash cart readiness, and equipment. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience preferred. Previous Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, Emergency Department, Critical Care (ICU), PACU, or Surgery Center experience strongly preferred. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. Moderate Sedation competency preferred. Strong IV therapy and patient assessment skills. Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational abilities. Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced procedural environment. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) preferred. Why Join AGHA Medical?
