Job Description

We are a busy plastic surgery practice specializing in cosmetic surgery of the face, body, and breasts. We are seeking an experienced Post-Operative Nurse to join our team at our Scottsdale location. Our mission is to provide exceptional patient care in a fun, team-oriented environment where professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic are highly valued. We are looking for a dedicated professional with strong experience in plastic surgery to lead our post-operative department. This role involves direct patient care, assisting the surgeon during procedures, and serving as the primary point of contact for post-operative patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient intake, vitals, and rooming Provide comprehensive post-operative care including wound care, dressing changes, drain removals, suture removals, and garment fitting Assist the surgeon with surgical procedures and in-clinic exams Manage telephone triage for post-operative patients, providing post-op instructions, medical advice (within scope of practice), digital imaging recommendations, and prescription guidance Educate patients on recovery protocols, medications, and surgeon's orders Prepare and stock procedure and post-operative rooms Maintain a sterile environment and assist with instrument sterilization Manage inventory and supply ordering Serve as a liaison between the front office, back office, surgeon, and office manager to ensure smooth patient flow Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) required Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plastic surgery Strong hands-on experience with post-operative care, suture removal, drain removal, and wound management Excellent customer service and communication skills Passion for patient care and helping others through their surgical journey Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred) This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
