Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate exceptional clinical skills in various healthcare settings. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to best practices in patient management. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients across diverse settings including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient facilities. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical findings. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations. Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes. Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care instructions. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards for patient care. Skills Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Experience in critical care environments including ICU or Level I/II trauma centers. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices. Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration, phlebotomy, suturing, catheterization, and airway management. Familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding for accurate medical documentation. Competence in managing patients with diverse needs including geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, and chronic conditions such as diabetes or heart disease. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and provide acute pain management strategies. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
