2 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma facility, requiring strong Neuro and Cardiac skills on 12-hour night shifts. Details Acute care Med/Surg unit with telemetry capability on all 24 beds — heavy telemetry focus Adult patient population; travelers are not assigned pediatric patients 12-hour night shifts Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on nights, adjusted based on acuity Float requirement to all Med/Surg units and ICU (for Med/Surg overflow patients) Charting performed in Allscripts Sunrise EMR No IV team on unit — nurses expected to manage IV needs independently Level III Trauma Center Requirements Active AZ or Compact RN license required Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) PALS preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Strong Neuro and Cardiac nursing skills required BSN not required Additional Information Support staff includes telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs Hospitalist available in-house 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy available 24/7 Nurse managers conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care Scrubs in any color except all black; scrubs are not provided 13-week contract with an 8-hour orientation
