Job Summary Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process. Provides professional nursing care to patients, including conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. Job Description Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, Magnet facility and Level I Trauma Center, is actively recruiting RNs to support the Bariatric Med Surg Unit. This role is part of the transplant team serving those with bariatric needs. We are looking for a nurse with 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting with a true passion for people! Full time, Nights What is bariatric? We are a small tight knit group of nurses that excel in our specialty of bariatric weight loss surgery. We are the only unit in the hospital that is trained to take on these patients. It gives our nurses an opportunity to educate our patients on their new lifestyle and it's very rewarding. You will have the opportunity to become a certified nurse in bariatric care. What makes our unit unique? Our floor is a center of excellence for bariatric surgery and we are very proud of the work we do. Applicants will be impressed at how specialized the nursing care is and how our nurses work together to deliver care that meets center of excellence standards. Applicants will also be impressed at how closely we work with our doctors. The rapport between nurses doctors on this floor is the best I have seen in all my years of nursing. Minimum Qualifications Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing Certified in Basic Life Support Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements Experience / Knowledge /
