Oncology Infusion Nurse Interventional Radiation Oncology of California Apple Valley, CA Job Details Part-time $50 - $60 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications RN License BLS Certification IV infusion IV insertion Bachelor of Science in Nursing Oncology Chemotherapy Full Job Description Oncology Infusion Nurse Join our dynamic oncology team at Interventional Radiation Oncology of California (IROC). IROC operates several multispecialty clinics providing medical, surgical, radiation oncology, pharmacy, and diagnostic radiology services. We are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse with oncology experience to join our outpatient infusion/oncology clinic. This important role entails administering chemotherapy and other cancer-related treatments, managing side effects, and providing education and emotional support to patients and their families. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary oncology team to ensure treatment is highly effective, coordinated, and delivered to our patients in a compassionate environment.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for oncology patients.
  • Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Administer IV infusions, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, hydration, and supportive medication in accordance with protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Access and manage peripheral IVs, central lines and ports
  • Monitor patients' response to treatment and intervene as necessary
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications and symptom management
  • Collaborate with oncologists and team members to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between various stages of treatment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing
  • 2 years related experience in oncology
  • Current California Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
ONS/ONCC
Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (preferred)
Pay:
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour
