Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The unit supports approximately 190 births per month and cares for high-risk newborns requiring advanced neonatal nursing interventions. The ideal candidate will have strong NICU experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates Monitor newborns requiring advanced respiratory and cardiac support Perform detailed neonatal assessments and ongoing patient monitoring Administer medications, IV therapy, and specialized neonatal treatments Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams Educate and support parents and family members Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR Respond appropriately to neonatal emergencies and changes in patient condition Maintain compliance with NICU protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety initiatives Participate in discharge planning and family-centered care programs
Required Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required Current BCLS Certification Current NRP Certification Current PALS Certification Strong neonatal assessment and critical care skills Ability to work weekends and holidays as required
