This exciting opportunity is perfect for motivated nursing professionals who are fluent in both English and spanish and who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will utilize your specialized skills to provide comprehensive nursing services across a top of the line outpatient surgery center. Your expertise in IV infusion and patient assessment will be vital in ensuring optimal health outcomes for diverse patient populations. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual health needs. Administer IV infusions and injections with precision, adhering to sterile techniques and safety protocols. Document medical procedures accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Assist with complex medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding management, and wound suturing in various settings including hospitals and long-term care facilities. Provide culturally sensitive patient education and health coaching in both languages to enhance understanding and compliance. Support triage activities by evaluating patient symptoms, prioritizing care needs, and coordinating urgent or emergency responses when necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care to ensure seamless patient transitions. Experience Valid LVN license with current state certification; IV certification required. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as critical care units (ICU), emergency rooms (ER), medical-surgical units, or hospice care prefered but not required. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Experience in specialized areas including geriatrics, dementia care (Alzheimer's and memory care), pediatric or neonatal settings preferred. Knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding standards along with CPT coding for procedures is highly desirable. Familiarity with infection control practices, sterile processing techniques, and aseptic techniques across multiple healthcare disciplines. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in assisted living or home & community care is a plus.
