Job Description
Operating Room Circulating Nurse Shift -Monday-Friday, days, some shared call Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Operating Room Circulating Nurse, where your expertise will be vital in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of surgical procedures. Duties Act as the central communication link between the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals during procedures. Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and sterile instruments are ready and functioning properly. Assist in maintaining aseptic technique throughout surgeries to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Monitor and document patient vital signs, responses to anesthesia, and overall condition during procedures using EHR systems Support surgeons by passing instruments, managing specimen collection or processing, and assisting with suturing or wound closure when needed. Ensure proper documentation of surgical events, patient assessments, and intraoperative activities following HIPAA compliance standards. Respond swiftly to intraoperative emergencies or critical incidents. Qualifications Current CA License and BLS certification At least 3 years of OR experience.
