Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity awaits skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses with a background in the Operating Room. This position offers the chance to utilize advanced clinical expertise in a dynamic surgical setting, supporting patients and surgical teams through all phases of perioperative care.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 1 year experience as an Operating Room RN In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and aseptic technique Strong critical thinking and assessment capabilities Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Excellent communication and teamwork skills BLS and ACLS certifications required Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Schedule:
Full-time hours, based on facility needs Shifts may include some evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery Collaborate closely with surgical teams to maintain a safe, sterile environment Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and intervene appropriately Prepare operating rooms, ensuring proper equipment and supplies Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of procedures and patient status Provide emotional support and education to patients and families throughout the surgical experience Uphold infection control and safety standards at all times
