$141,974.56 - $156,549.12 annually Position Summary We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join a mission-driven transplant services team as a Transplant Coordinator II. In this role, you will provide direct medical management to authorized organ donors in ICU settings and recovery facilities while supporting the organ procurement and transplantation process from referral through recovery. This position is ideal for critical care nurses who are passionate about saving lives through organ donation and transplantation. The role requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and the ability to manage complex donor cases in fast-paced healthcare environments. About the Role As a Transplant Coordinator II, you will focus on hemodynamic and pulmonary donor management to preserve and optimize organs for transplantation. You will collaborate closely with hospitals, transplant centers, physicians, and donor support teams to ensure high-quality donor care and regulatory compliance throughout the donation process. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the organ procurement process from referral through organ recovery Provide direct donor care including assessment, resuscitation, and physiologic management Monitor and optimize donor hemodynamic and pulmonary function Collaborate with hospital staff, physicians, transplant centers, and leadership teams Coordinate donor management, organ allocation, recovery logistics, and documentation Ensure compliance withUAGA, UNOS
policies, and regulatory requirements Support donor families throughout the donation process Participate in hospital education and donation development initiatives Maintain proficiency in recovery center operations and protocols QualificationsEducation Graduate of an accredited Nursing (RN) program required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Licensure & Certifications Active California RN License required Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required at time of hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within orientation period Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within orientation period Experience Minimum 2 years of Critical Care or ICU nursing experience required Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills preferred Experience managing critically ill patients in acute care settings preferred Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of ICU and critical care protocols Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Ability to manage complex clinical situations under pressure Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to travel within the donor service area as needed Compassionate and professional approach to donor family support Work Environment In-person work across hospitals, donor service areas, and recovery facilities Night shift schedule with rotating weekends Fast-paced clinical and transplant coordination environment Travel required throughout the service area Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (Employer pays 90% of premium for employee & dependents) 19 Days Paid Time Off (PTO) 2 Floating Holidays 10 Paid Holidays Life & Supplemental Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Wellness Programs & Onsite Gym Pet Insurance Mileage Reimbursement for eligible travel Tuition Reimbursement Employee Referral Program 403(b) Retirement Plan with annual discretionary 8% employer contributionSchool Loan Forgiveness Eligibility Pay:
