Infection Preventionist (IP) Nurse

Mountain View Post-Acute is looking for a part-time Infection Prevention (IP) Nurse. Pay range is $32-$36/hr., depending on experience and qualifications! Must be IP Certified. Duties:

Preventing the transmission of infectious agents and identification of infectious disease processes. The IP will assist with implementation of infection prevention and control strategies related to controlling the transmission of infectious agents. The IP identifies problems of surveillance findings, develops plan of approach and communicates plan appropriately to the Director of Nursing Services. The IP will collect data in support of epidemiological studies of specific problems or problem areas to determine the source of the problem and make appropriate recommendations. The IP utilizes appropriate Quality Assurance monitoring activities to address issues of potential risk of infection for patients or employees. The IP documents problems and implements control measures in performance improvement projects. The IP will assist the Director of Staff Development with the planning, organizing, development and implementation of educational programs for employees.

Requirements:

Highly prefer the IP has a minimum of two years' experience as an IP nurse in healthcare setting, SNF or Sub Acute. The IP must be qualified by education, training, clinical or health care experience, or certification, and must have completed specialized training in infection prevention and control. Active and Valid LVN License in California (Required)

IP Certificiation Pay:

$32.00 - $35.00 per hour
