You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes, utilizing your extensive nursing skills and clinical knowledge. Duties Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and patient education on procedures and recovery expectations Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery by applying aseptic techniques, ensuring proper documentation, and verifying consent forms Monitor patients closely during their stay in the PACU, managing airway management, ventilator support, IV infusions, and acute pain management protocols Administer medications safely, including injections and sedation as prescribed, while observing for adverse reactions or complications Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate smooth transitions from operating room to recovery area, ensuring all protocols are followed for infection control and patient safety Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic systems, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide education to patients and families about post-operative care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up procedures Requirements Valid RN license with current registration in the applicable state or region Proven experience in perioperative nursing, PACU care, or surgical nursing within hospital or outpatient settings Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or emergency medicine backgrounds; familiarity with Level I Trauma Center protocols is a plus Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic; strong medical documentation skills Knowledge of aseptic techniques, airway management, IV insertion, catheter care, and medication administration Ability to perform physical examinations and assess vital signs accurately under pressure Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients effectively Join us to deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care that transforms patient experiences.
