The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set, including expertise in various clinical procedures, EMR systems, and patient care across diverse settings such as acute care, long-term care, and specialty units. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your clinical skills and compassionate care make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Candidates with experience in hospital medicine, critical care, geriatrics, pediatrics, or emergency medicine are highly encouraged to apply. Duties Provide comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations. Administer medications and injections with precision, following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Manage airway and ventilator support for patients requiring respiratory assistance. Perform specialized procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ostomy care. Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and medical imaging procedures such as sonography or mammography when applicable. Assist with trauma or emergency cases in Level I or Level II trauma centers, including trauma medicine and acute pain management. Provide specialized care for populations such as neonatal (neonatal ventilator), pediatric (pediatric assessments), adult (medical-surgical), geriatrics (memory care, dementia care), and hospice/palliative patients. Ensure infection control practices are maintained at all times to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Educate patients and families on health coaching, medication management, nutrition, and post-discharge instructions. Experience Proven clinical experience in hospital settings such as ICU, emergency room, medical-surgical units, or specialty areas like cardiology or ophthalmology. Experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Background in critical care transport, trauma medicine, or post-acute care is advantageous. Familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding and CPT coding for documentation purposes. Prior work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (neonatal to toddler), adults requiring complex medical interventions such as dialysis or IV infusion therapy, and elderly patients in long-term or assisted living facilities. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining safety standards. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus. This role requires a compassionate RN committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care across multiple clinical environments while adhering to all regulatory standards and best practices in nursing.
