The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, including experience with diverse patient populations and a commitment to delivering personalized, high-quality care in a home setting. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by supporting their health and well-being through comprehensive nursing services. We have an assignment this Friday In Carlsbad if available please connect with us . Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following strict protocols and ensuring patient safety at all times. Monitor patients' conditions closely, recognizing signs of acute pain, infection, or deterioration, and escalate concerns appropriately. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities, ensuring comfort and dignity. Assist with wound care, catheterization, tube feeding, and ventilator management while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and their families on medication management, disease processes, and health maintenance strategies to promote independence. Skills Proven experience with Epic EMR systems or similar electronic documentation platforms. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I Trauma Center settings is highly desirable. Strong background in medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, hospice care, or home & community health environments. Knowledge of
ICD-9/10
coding for accurate medical documentation and billing purposes. Skilled in performing venipuncture, phlebotomy, injection administration, and sterile processing techniques. Familiarity with advanced procedures such as spinal taps, PICU care, or cardiac catheterization is advantageous. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge to evaluate complex health conditions effectively.
