Where You'll Work Founded in 1967, Dignity Health - Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 377-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Carmichael, California. Serving over 100,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, heart care, cancer care, women's health, and neurology. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Director Nursing Labor and Delivery Services at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, you will direct the operations of our Family Birth Center. Every day, you will work with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives, and work with your front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization's goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced leader, with a track record of success in mid to large sized hospitals overseeing L&D services. You must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. Job Requirements Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required. Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
Required Licensure:
Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. #LI-DH
