ASAP Job Description Cerritos High School is seeking a full-time, School-Credentialed Registered Nurse to support the daily operations of our Health Office and promote the health, safety, and academic success of our students. The School Nurse will provide direct health services, manage student health plans, and collaborate with staff, families, and community providers in a high school setting. This position is ideal for a compassionate, organized nurse who is passionate about working with adolescents in an educational environment. Key Responsibilities Provide first aid, illness assessment, and nursing care to students and staff Manage the Health Office and maintain accurate student health records Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and district policies Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) Support students with chronic medical conditions Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student health needs Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and support staff Ensure compliance with state regulations and school health policies Promote wellness, prevention, and health education Required Qualifications Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license Valid California School Nurse Services Credential Experience working with adolescents or in a school setting preferred Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced school environment Schedule & Position Details Full-time position School-year schedule On-site at Cerritos High School Health Office assignment
