$35.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE Join Our Team at Oak Glen Post Acute! Oak Glen Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as an Infection Prevention Nurse (IPN). This role is responsible for leading the facility's infection prevention and control program, educating staff, monitoring infection trends, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the facility Infection Prevention and Control Program. Conduct surveillance, tracking, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections. Monitor infection trends and recommend corrective actions as needed. Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices, standard precautions, PPE use, and outbreak management. Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and state infection control regulations. Collaborate with nursing leadership, medical providers, and department managers to reduce infection risks. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Conduct audits and inspections related to infection prevention practices. Coordinate and manage outbreak investigations and response efforts. Maintain accurate infection control documentation and reporting. Qualifications Current California LVN license in good standing. Infection Prevention experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred. Strong knowledge of infection control principles, epidemiology, and regulatory requirements. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to educate and mentor staff at all levels. Experience with quality assurance and performance improvement programs preferred. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) is a plus but not required.
