Minimum 5 years About the Role We are hiring an experienced Registered Nurse Neuro Trauma ICU / Surgical ICU for a 13-week day shift assignment in Chico, CA. This role supports a Level II Trauma NT/SICU unit with a 12-bed, 2:1 patient ratio, specializing in neuro and trauma patients. The nurse must be confident caring for high-acuity critical care patients and willing to float as needed. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in a Neuro Trauma/Surgical ICU setting. Care for neuro, trauma, and high-acuity critical care patients. Manage patients with ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains. Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to clinical changes. Administer medications, treatments, and critical care interventions. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams. Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC. Float to CVU, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU/CCU, or Med/Surg units as needed. Follow Level II trauma, safety, and infection control standards. Support holiday coverage as required. Requirements Active California Registered Nurse license required. Minimum 5 years of acute critical care experience required. Level II trauma critical care experience required. Neuro ICU, SICU, or ICU experience required. BLS required. ACLS required. EPIC charting experience required. Previous travel nursing experience required. Must be willing to float as needed.
