Compensation Local Pay:
$2,800
  • $2,900 per week
Traveler Pay:
$3,100
  • $3,200 per week
Hours:
40 hours guaranteed (Overtime applies after 40 hours)

Possible weekend and holiday coverage Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to support outpatient and same-day surgical services within a high-acuity hospital setting. This role focuses on delivering exceptional perioperative care while maintaining flexibility to assist in other surgical units as needed. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care , including circulating and/or scrubbing for outpatient surgical procedures. Conduct detailed pre-operative assessments and ensure adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols. Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures. Accurately document patient care and surgical data using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain flexibility to float to other operating room units based on patient volume and operational needs. Required Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN). Licensure & Certification Active, unrestricted California RN license . BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. ACLS and PALS certifications preferred. Experience Requirements Minimum 2+ years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience . Prior travel assignment experience preferred . Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards. Additional Requirements Must be able to work varied day shifts , including occasional weekends and holidays. Flexibility to float between outpatient and main OR settings.
