Now Hiring | School Nurse (LVN) | Fall 2026 Amergis Healthcare Staffing - 3.4 Chula Vista, CA Job Details Part-time $175 a week 16 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification Full Job Description Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - School Nurse (Elementary School District) Chula Vista, CA Part-Time | 30 hours/week (Monday-Friday) Up to $35/hour (DOE) Position Overview We are seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to support students within an elementary school district in Chula Vista . This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a school setting, either in the health office or providing 1:1 care for a student , depending on assignment needs. This is an ideal position for LVNs looking for a consistent weekday schedule with no evenings or weekends , while making a meaningful impact in a child's daily life. Schedule Monday-Friday Approximately 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM ~30 hours per week (schedule may vary slightly based on school site) Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students in a school setting Support students with: Diabetes management Seizure disorders Asthma care Administer medications and monitor student health needs Maintain accurate documentation and health records Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers Respond to health-related incidents and ensure student safety Perform either: Health office duties , OR 1:1 student support , depending on assignment Qualifications Active California LVN license (required) Previous experience with: Diabetes management Seizure management Asthma care Pediatric and/or school nursing experience preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently in a school environment Why Join Us? The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Minimum Requirements:
