Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Correctional Facility provides professional nursing care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring their health and safety while adhering to legal, ethical, and institutional standards. The RN works collaboratively with healthcare providers, correctional officers, and administrative staff to deliver quality patient care in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with nursing standards and Correctional Facility policies. Perform physical assessments, triage, and emergency care as needed. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and document patient progress, conditions, and responses to treatment. Educate patients on healthcare management, including chronic disease management and infection control. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, mental health professionals, and custody staff. Respond to medical emergencies, including trauma, cardiac arrests, and acute mental health crises. Maintain security awareness and follow institutional protocols for working within a correctional facility. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Title 15, and other state and federal healthcare regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

License:

Must possess a current and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in

Nursing Experience:

Prior experience in correctional, emergency, psychiatric, or general medical-surgical nursing preferred.

Pay:

$95.00 - $100.00 per hour
