1 Description American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5 years of experience, prior travel experience, and a valid CA RN license. Details Work in the Emergency Department of a community hospital setting Trauma Level II hospital environment Patient ratio of 1:4 Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 9:30 AM - 10:00 PM Every other weekend required Epic EMR experience required 13-week contract Requirements Active CA RN license required Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (must be AHA or ARC issued) Minimum 5 years of ER RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Trauma Level II experience required Proficiency with Epic EMR required Skills required include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE Two supervisory references obtained within the past year required for consideration Additional Information Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler; former manager's name will be required RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract Only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract; covered holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day Holiday coverage windows begin at 7:00 PM the evening before and end at 7:00 AM the day after each holiday A 7-year work history verification is required
