JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable School Nurse to support students within a school district in El Monte, CA. This position is open to a Credentialed School Nurse or a Registered Nurse (RN) holding a Preliminary School Nurse Credential. The role will continue for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year with the opportunity to extend into the 2026-27 school year. This is a district-level position that will float between a few school sites, providing nursing support as needed to ensure continuity of care and student health services across the district.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct nursing care to students across 2-3 school sites
• Float between assigned campuses based on district needs
• Administer medications and manage health plans per physician and school guidelines
• Respond to student illnesses and emergencies
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Collaborate with district staff, school administrators, teachers, and families
• Support district-wide health initiatives and compliance with state and school health regulations
• Communicate effectively with parents and school personnel regarding student health needs

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid or Preliminary California School Nurse Services Credential
• CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Ability to travel between school sites within the district
• School-based experience preferred but not required
