Full Job Description Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour Job description: Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will utilize your clinical expertise, compassion, and attention to detail to assess patient needs, administer treatments, and coordinate care plans. Whether working in acute care hospitals, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities, you will play a crucial role in promoting health, healing, and well-being for individuals of all ages. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, catheterizations, and other methods following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, radiology procedures like sonography or mammography, and wound suturing when necessary. Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, behavioral health needs, or geriatrics including memory care and Alzheimer's/dementia care. Educate patients and families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, nutrition, and chronic disease management tailored to individual needs. Requirements Valid RN license in the state of employment with current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Critical care experience preferred—especially ICU or trauma center experience—along with familiarity in emergency medicine and urgent care settings. Skills in IV insertion/infusion therapy, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and sterile processing techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology knowledge, ICD-10 coding standards, CPT coding for procedures and treatments. Ability to perform physical examinations effectively while demonstrating excellent patient assessment skills. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly valued; additional experience in hospice & palliative medicine or occupational health is a plus.
