Staff Nurse II

Salary Range:
$87.66
  • $116.
86 plus applicable per diem differential
Summary of Duties:
The Staff Nurse II is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides fiscally responsible care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other health care team members. Ability to care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures and to provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Education Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN preferred or ADN with three years of specialty experience.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Current California RN license required.
AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
required.
Experience Requirements:
Two (2) years acute hospital experience and six months Endoscopy experience required. Recent experience in an acute care Endoscopy setting preferred.
Special skills or abilities:
Competent in moderate sedation protocols, able to provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Knowledge of EPIC. Ability to work cooperatively with physicians and co-workers. Ability to deal with stressful, emergent situations. Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment. Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
