Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PEDS Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic healthcare environment where your expertise in pediatric and medical-surgical nursing can truly make an impact. This contract opportunity seeks a Registered Nurse with a strong foundation in both pediatric and med-surg care to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active, unrestricted RN license Demonstrated experience in both pediatric (PEDS) and medical-surgical (Med Surg) nursing settings BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams Ability to adapt to changing environments and patient acuity levels Previous contract or travel nursing experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and adult patients within the med-surg unit Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor patient outcomes Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to protocols and provider orders Educate patients and families on care processes, recovery, and prevention strategies Collaborate with providers, therapists, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient care Accurately document patient status, interventions, and progress in electronic health records Uphold infection control and patient safety standards at all times
