Job Description
Category Nursing - RN-NICU Job Type Contract Deliver specialized, compassionate care for newborns in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In this role, you will support infants requiring advanced monitoring and interventions, collaborate closely with a skilled clinical team, and ensure the best outcomes for neonates and their families.
Schedule:
12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent NICU RN experience. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Demonstrated experience in a LevelIII NICU
setting.Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in nursing or closely related field.Preferred:
Seven years of recent (within the last 10 years) LevelIII NICU
experience.Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in accordance with established protocols and standards. Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in condition promptly and effectively. Administer medications, therapies, and advanced interventions as ordered. Support parents and families, offering clear communication and education about infant status and NICU procedures. Foster a patient-focused environment through teamwork and collaboration with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and support staff. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation. Participate actively in unit improvement initiatives and follow all hospital safety practices.
