  • Covering San Mateo County / Alameda County / Contra Costa County $100 Guaranteed every on call night from 5pm
  • 8am following day triaging calls. Plus Following Compensation
  • $200 per visit from 5pm
  • 8pm. $300 per visit from 8pm
  • 8am next day.
You will also be compensated for your mileage from your home to patient's and back to your home. DUTIES of an On-Call LVN or RN Perform routine, death and emergent visits as requested in our territory after hours. Answer patient and company-related phone calls. Drive to and from patient visits as needed. Uphold company policies and procedures, as well as adhere to all local, state and federal regulations. Enter documentation into EMR for each visit. Provide skilled nursing care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Registered Nurse in carrying out the plan of care. Assist the Registered Nurse in performing specialized procedures (as defined in the State Nurse Practice Act) as directed by the Registered Nurse under physician's orders. Prepare clinical and progress notes as appropriate. Keep the Case Manager informed of changes noted during visits. Performs on-call duties (including holidays) per policy and agency need. Assume responsibility for self-development by continually striving to improve his/her Nursing practice through formal education, attendance at workshops and conferences, active participation in professional and related organizational meetings, and/or individual research and reading.
JOB CONDITIONS
May be stressful. The ability to access patients' homes which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible is required. Hearing, eyesight and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to perform patient care. Physical activities will include, walking, sitting, stooping, and standing and minimal to maximum lifting of patients and the turning of patients.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION
Utilization of a computer, telephone, copy machine, thermometer, Blood Pressure Cuff, glucometer and other medical equipment and office equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Graduation from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing. 2. Must be licensed in the State as a Licensed Vocational Nurse by the California Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technician Examiners. 3. One or more years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Hospice experience preferred. Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. 4. Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order. 5. The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. 6. Must be organized and detail oriented. 7.
