Location:
Santa Monica, CA Job Summary The CVOR Registered Nurse provides perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room environment. This role involves assisting in complex cardiac surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique, supporting the surgical team, and ensuring safe patient outcomes throughout the perioperative process. The RN must be highly adaptable, clinically strong in OR settings, and capable of managing rapidly changing surgical conditions. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of CVOR or Operating Room experience required. Active BLS (AHA) certification required. First-time travelers not accepted. Strong perioperative and cardiovascular surgical experience required. Ability to function in a high-acuity surgical environment. Must be flexible for variable call requirements. Responsibilities Provide circulating and scrub assistance during cardiovascular surgical procedures. Maintain strict sterile technique in the operating room. Prepare OR suite, instruments, and surgical equipment for CVOR cases. Assist surgeons and surgical technologists during procedures. Monitor patient status throughout perioperative phases. Ensure accurate documentation within Epic EMR. Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and anesthesia teams. Respond to emergent surgical situations as needed.
