Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by taking on a pivotal role in the operating room as a Registered Nurse with specialized skills in perioperative care. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support surgical patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
Valid and unrestricted RN license Minimum one year of recent experience circulating or scrubbing in the Operating Room Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred) Strong knowledge of sterile technique and operating room protocols Excellent critical thinking and communication skills Familiarity with electronic medical records and surgical documentation Ability to perform efficiently under pressure with keen attention to patient safety
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures Provide intraoperative nursing care by circulating and/or scrubbing during surgical procedures Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure seamless patient care Monitor patient status and advocate for their needs throughout surgical procedures Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and documentation protocols Support patient and family education regarding perioperative care as needed Actively contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives This is a contract-based position offering the chance to expand your professional network, deepen your OR expertise, and make a tangible impact on patient outcomes.
