CVICU in a short-term acute care environment Responsibilities Provide direct bedside care to adult CVICU patients following cardiac procedures Monitor hemodynamics, manage lines and devices, and titrate medications per protocol Assist with ventilator management and post-operative respiratory care as needed Perform frequent patient assessments, document findings, and contribute to care plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusion, and therapy services) to optimize outcomes Ensure adherence to infection control standards, patient safety protocols, and accurate charting Requirements Active registered nurse license (state of assignment) BLS, ACLS, and NIH required CVICU or critical care experience preferred; strong float or ICU background considered

Education:
