Job Description

JOB TITLE:
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner- Correctional Facility
LOCATION
Lompoc, CA 93436 JOBDESCRIPTION
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services for the adult in custody population.
- Take medical histories, examine patients, and order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays.
- Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications.
- Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing.
- Attend to medical emergencies.
- Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultation, instruct and counsel, and order or carry out therapy.
- Emergency consultation to be performed by the contractor in instances where deemed necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- California Nurse License
- Driver's License
- BLS•AHA Certificate
EDUCATION
- Graduation certification of a credited school.
- Continuing on-going medical education
SCHEDULE
- The contractor shall perform eight (1) hour sessions per day, 5 days per week excluding Federal Holidays.
- 7:30 am
- 4:00 pm
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
