Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role where your expertise in Operating Room nursing makes a direct impact. This contract position is designed for a skilled Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is committed to exceptional patient care throughout the perioperative process.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current and unrestricted RN license Minimum of one year of recent experience working as an RN in an Operating Room setting BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) Demonstrated proficiency in scrubbing and circulating for a variety of surgical procedures Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of the surgical team Familiarity with electronic charting systems
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe and efficient nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain sterile technique and uphold infection control protocols at all times Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and document care accurately Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in patient condition Oversee preparation, use, and cleaning of equipment and surgical instruments Act as an advocate for patient safety and confidentiality throughout the surgical process
