Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Treatment Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations across various settings, including outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and acute care environments. Your expertise will support patient recovery, comfort, and safety through comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and personalized care plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a collaborative and innovative environment. Responsibilities Perform detailed patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and other advanced procedures such as catheterization and wound suturing. Monitor patients' responses to treatments, manage acute pain, and adjust care strategies accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes. Document all patient interactions thoroughly using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with complex medical procedures including airway management, venipuncture, and sterile processing techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or hospice care services. Provide education and support to patients and their families about health conditions like dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or infectious diseases while promoting health coaching initiatives. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings such as Alzheimer's or dementia care. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and diagnostic evaluation methods. Skilled in emergency medicine procedures including airway management, ventilator use, and acute pain management within hospital or trauma center environments (Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred). Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform phlebotomy, tube feeding administration, sterile techniques for specimen collection/processing, and basic life support (BLS). Experience in various clinical settings such as ICU, emergency room, medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics or home & community care environments. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with a compassionate approach to senior care and working with children or infants when needed. Knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality and safety at all times.
