Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical II, Med/Surg Palliative Care Unit Valley Presbyterian Hospital Deliver Experienced, High-Quality Patient Care At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our nurses are essential to delivering safe, compassionate, and efficient care. We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Clinical II) to coordinate patient care, support clinical excellence, and contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment. What You'll Do Provide and coordinate patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status Administer medications safely and in accordance with hospital policies Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams using SBAR Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record Support infection control, safety, and regulatory standards Advocate for patients and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives Support patient throughput, including admissions, transfers, and discharges What You Bring 1+ year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care Requirements Current California RN license ADN required; BSN preferred AHA BLS certification NIHSS certification Annual Stroke Education within 30 days of employment LA City Fire Card within 30 days of employment Why VPH Mission-driven healthcare organization Opportunity to grow clinical expertise and advance your career Collaborative and supportive nursing environment Meaningful role impacting patient outcomes Apply today to join the VPH nursing team and deliver exceptional care.
