Pay:
$55 to $60 depending on experience.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care RN to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert wound care services, including assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic wounds, pressure injuries, surgical wounds, and ostomies. This position involves collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care for patients with a variety of wound types. Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans. Educate patients and families on wound care procedures and self-care techniques. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Monitor wounds for signs of infection or complications and intervene as needed. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care. Ensure infection control and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license in the state of practice. Certification in Wound Care (e.g., WOCN, WCC, CWCN) preferred or required depending on employer. Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience; wound care experience strongly preferred. Excellent clinical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of patient care.
