Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting surgical teams by providing expert nursing care in a dynamic operating room environment. This contract position calls for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized experience in the Operating Room to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Valid, unencumbered RN license Proven background as an Operating Room RN, including circulating and/or scrubbing duties Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile technique Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain focused and calm in high-pressure situations
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room and maintain sterile conditions throughout procedures Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team before, during, and after operations Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition Document all nursing care, medicines administered, and interventions accurately in patient records Assist with positioning and preparing patients for surgery, including pre-op and post-op duties Adhere to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and universal precautions at all times Whether you have a strong foundation as an Operating Room nurse or extensive experience, your expertise is needed to ensure surgical patients receive the safest possible care.
