Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform personalized care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy and dermal fillers. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when required. Manage acute pain and provide critical care interventions in high-pressure environments such as ICU, trauma centers, or emergency rooms, including airway management and ventilator support. Assist with complex procedures including catheterizations (cardiac or urinary), suturing, tube feeding management, and ostomy care. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas like cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health to deliver comprehensive patient-centered services. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics such as geriatrics, memory care, family planning, or post-discharge discharge planning to promote ongoing wellness. Experience Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care settings. Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine with familiarity in trauma medicine and acute care procedures. Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and coding practices including
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding standards. Hands-on experience with specialized treatments including dialysis management, aseptic techniques for sterile processing, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure during triage situations or urgent care scenarios while maintaining excellent patient assessment skills. Knowledge of physiology principles related to pediatric (including neonatal resuscitation) and adult patients across various specialties such as cardiology, geriatrics, pediatrics, or behavioral health. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays in settings like memory care or behavioral health units enhances your versatility as a nurse.
