Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Shifts Available:
Day Shift:
Monday-Friday 12pm-8pm
Description:
As a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, you'll play a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your responsibilities will include following the plan of care, administering treatments, and collaborating with our dedicated team to ensure positive patient care outcomes.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care as defined in the State's Nurse Practice Act. Implement a plan of care initiated by the registered nurse. Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care. Assess and provide patient and family caregiver education pertinent to the diagnosis and plan of care. Participate in coordinating home health services and report identified needs for other disciplines to the registered nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor/Nursing Supervisor. Utilize equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently. Participate in personal and professional growth and development. Perform other duties as assigned by the registered nurse.
Position Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program. Three years nursing experience, with one year prior professional nursing experience in community/home health or medical/surgical settings (effective January 1, 1988). Currently licensed as a practical or vocational nurse in the state. Complies with accepted professional standards and practice. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order, complying with state and organizational requirements. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
