Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Experienced Registered Nurses are needed on a part-time, contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll make a meaningful impact by providing essential care in a vibrant school setting, working with students, staff, and families while utilizing your clinical expertise.
Key Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered RN license required Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings strongly preferred Ability to secure a clear criminal background check and complete a TB risk assessment within 60 days before starting Familiarity with mandated reporting responsibilities under California law Excellent organizational and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide on-site health support, overseeing the daily functions of the health office Administer and monitor student medications as directed, maintaining accurate records Facilitate state-mandated hearing and vision screenings for specific grade levels and ensure compliance with reporting guidelines Respond to illness or injury, manage student care plans, and collaborate with educational teams as needed Educate students and staff on health practices, safety measures, and relevant wellness topics
