To qualify, you need a current California RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be obtained within 12 months, and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) education module within 6 months. At least 1 year of recent critical care experience is required. Recommended skills include strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities.
