Our mission is to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a warm, home-like environment that fosters healing and well-being for respiratory-impaired patients, including those with tracheostomies and ventilators. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Night Operations Center (NOC) to deliver exceptional patient care during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, particularly in critical care settings, and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety, comfort, and dignity. This role offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing patient outcomes through comprehensive nursing practices. Duties Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, including ventilator management and tracheostomy care. Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and perform thorough physical examinations during overnight shifts. Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document all patient interactions and clinical interventions meticulously within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth. Respond promptly to emergency situations, including acute pain management and airway management, ensuring patient safety at all times. Assist with laboratory specimen collection, processing, and diagnostic evaluations as needed. Educate patients and their families about ongoing care needs, discharge planning, and health coaching strategies. Skills Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers with familiarity in trauma medicine and emergency medicine protocols. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Cerner, Epic, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Strong knowledge of advanced nursing procedures such as IV infusion, venipuncture, catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile processing techniques. Expertise in managing patients with infectious diseases, infectious disease care protocols, and infection control standards. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities in settings like assisted living or long-term care facilities. Skilled in acute pain management, hospice & palliative medicine principles, and trauma medicine practices. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Excellent assessment skills including vital signs measurement, physiological knowledge, and patient evaluation techniques. Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care within a team environment.
